Webinar Description:

What are the latest regulations and other requirements related to the prevention of central line associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs) and the mandatory reporting of data on CLABSIs? What is your role in ensuring that your organization can meet these requirements?

This webinar will answer these questions and more. The presentation will discuss current and anticipated future requirements of state and federal agencies related to implementing CLABSI prevention programs, reporting of CLABSI data, and pay for performance initiatives. Content will focus on the critical roles of the infection preventionist and the vascular access specialist in implementing effective CLABSI prevention measures and accurate CLABSI data reporting systems.

Questions are welcome from all viewers during the extended Question and Answer session following the presentation by Connie Steed, RN, MSN CIC, Director of Infection Prevention at the Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center, Greenville, South Carolina.
